Human Resource Administrator

CB2 Insights has a mission to simplify the medical cannabis journey across the industry’s value chain through a suite of healthcare technology products and services delivered through three distinct brands – each serving a unique vertical. Sail offers a comprehensive cannabis EMR platform and patient engagement tools to support clinics and clinicians across multiple countries. Canna Care Docs is a leading cannabis evaluation and education group operating in 12 jurisdictions. Canna Care Docs has served more than 265,000 patients looking to integrate cannabis into their treatment regimen. TokeInis the industry’s only app-based customer loyalty and engagement platform used by cannabis retailers.  The parent brand, CB2 Insights, works to build predictive analytics tools based on the controlled data input ingested from each of its sub-brands which are used to deliver actionable insights both to its customer base and the industry at-large.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for an exceptional Human Resource Administrator for a 1-year maternity leave coverage. As the sole person in Human Resources for CB2 Insights you will have exceptional communication and written skills. Are confident in your ability to create policies and procedures and implement them.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a start-up environment where there are many moving parts.

Role and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer the Human Resource Administrator will run the day-to-day operations of the department. This will include but is not limited to:

Develop and Implement Policies

  • Job Evaluation
  • Employee Benefits
  • Health and Safety
  • Narrow down candidates and conduct initial interviews
  • Support Salary Reviews
  • Manage Training and Development Needs for Employees
  • Stay on top of legal requirements
  • Conduct exit interviews
  • Maintaining Files
  • Other duties as assigned

What you Bring

  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience or equivalent education and training in human resources
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Knowledge of Ontario employment law
  • Motivated self-starter who works well independently and in a Team environment.

Senior Software Engineer

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a polyglot Software Engineer to architect, develop, and implement technical solutions for our technology products. We are looking for a critical thinker who can implement strategies based on business objectives and strategy. Your main duties will include creating modular software solutions and coupling them together into a functional software application.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Participate in software design to ensure reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability of CB2 Insights software platforms
  • Ensure that all software solutions are secure and meet industry standards
  • Prototype concepts quickly and collaborate with Product and Design to assess feasibility
  • Develop and support software solutions that meet the standards of Product and QA
  • Cooperate in roadmap, release planning, and regular scrum ceremonies
  • Research emerging technologies to improve productivity and product quality
  • Maintain the development, testing, staging, and production environments

Requirements

  • 5+ years in software development
  • Proficient in web development, RESTful services, SQL, or NoSQL databases
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining software products in production
  • Polyglot in various languages: Ruby, C#, TypeScript, Javascript, .NET, etc.
  • Knowledge of multiple frameworks, stacks and libraries. Angular, React, Node.JS,
  • Bootstrap, Elastic Search, etc.
  • Well versed in unit testing and continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD)
  • Knowledge in Docker or Kubernetes is ideal
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Stay up-to-date with newest technologies
  • Bonus if you’ve worked in healthcare, cannabis, highly regulated industries
  • Bonus if you have an understanding of AWS or IT infrastructure
  • Must be able to work from our headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario
